Benefits
Why We Stand Out.
Pilates Integration
Pilates was originally created for rehabilitative care and continues to be a safe and highly effective way to improve strength, mobility, and function. As a Certified Pilates Instructor and a licensed Physical Therapist, Courtney is able to integrate reformer and mat Pilates practice into her physical therapy sessions.
Â
Flor also offers private Pilates sessions for those looking to supplement their therapy sessions, maintain goals after discharge, or just get a good workout under the expert care of a trained physical therapist.
Whole Body Approach
At Flor, we recognize that the body is interconnected and understand the need for comprehensive and individualized examinations. Taking the time to address the whole person, not the isolated symptoms, is at the core of our practice.
One on One Sessions
Personalized and effective care requires attention to detail, expertise, and time. At Flor, our sessions are completely one on one with your physical therapist. There are no aides, assistants, or interruptions during your scheduled appointment time. Each session will address your immediate needs as they evolve, while always keeping your long-term goals in mind.
Meet Your Therapist
Hi, I'm Courtney.
I am a licensed Physical Therapist specializing in pelvic floor dysfunction. It is my goal to create a space to make people feel safe, seen, and supported.
I have my clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences and my undergraduate degree from the University of California Riverside. My path to pelvic health included a specialized clinical rotation in Pelvic Health at Hoag Hospital and additional post-doctoral coursework through Herman & Wallace.
As a clinician, I am dedicated to lifelong learning and continued education. As the field of pelvic health continues to grow and new research becomes available, I strive to provide the most evidence based and effective treatment methods to help my patients meet their goals.
As a certified Pilates instructor, I’ve seen the incredible rehabilitative benefits that come with using a full body, low-impact approach. I have enjoyed blending this practice into my therapeutic exercise program for patients. I believe it provides a safe and effective method for targeted strengthening and mobility, while the unique equipment keeps patients engaged and motivated.
In my spare time, you can find me hanging out with my family, walking my dog, reading a romance novel, or enjoying a coffee.
I can’t wait to meet you,
Courtney
